I believe in making use of the latest scientific research on the voice as well as the traditional time-tested Bel Canto Method as a basis for my teaching. Bel Canto is a time-honnored school and vocal training system which when developed, allows the greatest ease in executing long languid phrases, agility and expansive vocal range.

I emphasize a solid, common sense technique to establish healthy vocal habits that will allow the singer to enjoy the art of singing over a life-time. I don't believe in teaching young children to sing pop. It is too easy to permanently damage the voice.

Building on this foundation, the student can then develop their unique path of expression. In addition, I enjoy the challenge of nursing and restoring ailing voices back to health. Explore the other pages on this site to learn more of my philosophies and policies.
